FMX returns to St. Louis

After a five year hiatus, FMX made their return to a very welcoming crowd at the Scottrade Center. This was one of the best crowds of the season and they really got behind the riders! Beginning with qualifying, Sean “The Outlaw” Nielson was the top seed moving into the main event. Shawn Conners, of Vermont was the first rider up in the Main event and had a nearly flawless run; however his time on the Toyota Hot Seat was limited because JJ Romans was next up and went upside down, doing several variations of the back flip. Romans, of Arizona took over the Toyota Hot Seat. Next in line was “Bad Boy” Billy Walls and Walls took it to the next level and had a terrific run, busting big with the sickest whip ever, and throwing together combo’s like he was at a late night drive thru with all of his friends! Nielson was last up, and he put on a great show, but was unable to unseat Billy Walls, who was the FMX winner tonight. The Team FMX competition was dominated by Walls and Nielson, who impressed upon the crowd of over eight thousand, and most importantly the judges. The Hell on Wheels BMX Freestyle Team and Keith Wineland, National number six, Moto Trials rider in the country. Also, on hand was Jesse George, a Super Moto Racer, pumping up the upcoming AMA Supermoto race on May 19th in St. Louis at the Verizon Stadium. A special thank you goes out to the great staff of the Scottrade Center and the FMX Staff, especially Mike Hathaway (show manager) on his last event. See ya next time!
