Freestyle Motocross
Toyota Trucks Presents
Freestyle Motocross brought to you by Wilson's Motorcycles and Budweiser at Selland
Arena in Fresno, CA
Friday February
2, 2007
A size of the
arena did not stop the big noise coming from the crowd. The boys of FMX did
not disappoint Fresno and came out with the big tricks. We had the guys of 5050bmx.com
to entertain and the ever exciting "Bullet" flew from his cannon.
Qualifying had
Kenny Bell crashing out on his final jump but he still scored an 86 to get fourth
in the Ogio Gearbags Qualifier. Grant Teel had a huge smile on his face after
his run and scored out an 88. Billy Walls had the usual "pop" in his
tricks that helped him advance with a 91.5. The crowd got loud and Jeff Banks
dropped the flip on them to score a 93.
The Torco Team
FMX had only two teams so we went to crowd judging. The crowd bumped the Canadian
team of Jeff Banks and Benoit Milot in favor of the high flying antics of Billy
Walls and Grant Teel who worked the crowd for a win.
The 5050bmx.com
team came out with some insane tricks including a front flip which had the checkered
flags flying. The "Bullet" David Smith got shot across the arena from
his cannon. As he left the barrel to cross 135 feet of gap to the net- the gasp
from the crowd was deafening.
The Wilson's Motorcycle
Final got heated up when Kenny Bell got into the Toyota Trucks Hot Seat first.
He did not get to stay their long as "Bad" Billy Walls bumped him
away after setting the Budweiser Gaps on fire with his KTM. Grant Teel was next
up and even though he rode with lots of heart, was not able to knock Billy down.
Jeff Banks knew he had to come out big to get into the Toyota Hot Seat. He did
just that by breaking out with a back flip on his first hit! He then proceeded
to bust out some combo backies to get the win. The crowd was on their feet and
the judges rewarded him. We will be back at it tomorrow night right here in
Fresno- so if you have not got your tickets- you better get them now!
Saturday -
Fresno in english is Freestyle!
Once again the crowd in Fresno brought the attitude and the performers of FMX
gave them a show to remember. Tonight saw the return of the 5050.com BMX stunt
team as well as the special showing from West Coast Productions extreme sport
bike crew.
In the high flying Air Force FMX Qualifier, Jeff Banks flew like a jet into first
place aboard his Suzuki. Billy Walls made his way into second with a spirited
run. Grant Teel and Kenny Bell had great runs to jump into the final as well.
The Torco Fuels final went down to the wire with Banks backflipping his way onto
the Toyota Tundra Hotseat after he wrested it away from the very visual Walls.
Grant Teel got his shot at the seat after he booted Bell from it. Bell wowed the
crowd with a smoky burnout atop the lander but since it was after the clock expired
he was not judged for it.
The Ogio Team FMX was judged by the crowd and they picked Benoit Milot and Jeff
Banks with authority and force.
A great exhibition by the West Coast Productions extreme street bike team had
the crowd in shock after their run but they woke up quickly with the front flipping
5050.com BMX team.
