Cincinnati goes off!

Ohio is the birthplace of flight and the riders held true to form and flew through the air all night long. The Clinton County Motorsports Yamaha Final saw the rivalry between Darrin Connet and Jack Rowe grow even more intense tonight but Darrin was able to pull the win.

The final is what it is all about and four riders made it in: Darrin, Jack, Greg Hartman and Scott Hanlin.  Scott went first and scored an 88 with a tendon in his right wrist severely swolen and in need of a heavy dose of tape just to make it on the bike. His runs tonight were probably the bestt I have seen from him this year and when he gets healed should come back even stronger. Greg came out next and nearly ended his run early when he caught a false neutral and cased the landing. I was amazed he even tried the jump but that just shows the heart this guy has. He scored an 88.5 to get himself into the Toyota Trucks hotseat and got to sit there to watch the next run. On the track came "Jumpin" Jack Rowe who was also riding injured after possibly breaking a bone in his right foot during qualifying. His super extended Kiss of Death and Nine O'Clock Nac had the Cincinnati crowd on thier feet giving him a 92 to finish the night. He rested his foot in the Toyota Hotseat to watch Darrin Connet come on the floor for his run.  Darrin lost to Jack last week in Green Bay and he had a score to settle in his axe-murderer jumpsuit.  He killed it with some backflip combos and the rest of his run was solid enough to give him the win by one tenth of a point!

The Torco Team FMX saw Connet and Cousino pull the win with the fans judging and giving them an overwhelming round of applause.  The Globe of Death crew of Melvin, Irwen and a beautiful Olga Urias put not two- but three bikes in the globe! I have never seen anything like it before and and neither did most of the crowd.  Once again the lovely Jen Schneider (aka the Cannon Lady) got shot into orbit by her husband for a 120 foot flight into a tiny net.

I want to thank Cincinnati and neighbors for a great weekend and my final stop on the tour. You can come see me hangin out at the World Final Amp'd Mobile Supercross if you win the Ulitmate Giveaway on www.supercrossonline.com/win but you better hurry time is running out!
