Freestyle Motocross

Saturday - 7:30 PM

Greensboro North Carolina was a great time for the whole FMX team. In the preliminary round Adam Cousino was the first rider out and to put together a solid run achieving 86.0 points. Adam would be bumped from the finals list by New York boy Casey Higgins. Also to make the finals were the likes of Garry Robertson, Shawn Connors, and the back flipping Thomas Alves. Sean Nielsen had a great run going until his final hit where he was unable to remount the bike in the air. Sean did reel the bike back in but with a hard hit to the tough blocks he was seeing stars and unable to make the finals.

Jen Schnieder “The Cannon Lady” came to the floor after intermission and amazed the crowd when she was shot from her 25 foot cannon by her husband Radical Rob and flew 120 feet through the air to land safely in her net. Geoff Aaron ripped around the arena and showed the crowd what Motorcycle Trials was and why he was ten time national champ by achieving what was thought impossible feats on his Montessa.

Into the finals with a bang as Casey came out with a good 85.0 run but would lose the Wendy’s hot seat to crazy man Garry Robertson’s 86.2. Shawn Connors took over the hot seat for a moment until Thomas Alves put down a great run including four back flip variations ending his run and taking home the Wendy’s hot seat trophy with 93.7. I know the FMX team had a good time and by the screams from the crowd I know Greensboro did to.
