Well back in Dallas for the start of 2007 and if this is any indication of the what it has in store then look out! The win for the freestyle went to Dustin Nowak who was happy to get the monkey off his back after a disappointing year last year. He was plagued with injury and it was good to see him pull the win off. He laid out a run with plenty of back flips, which is no easy task going ramp to ramp. Chris Taylor could be the new king of combo’s. He was tying tricks together that would be hard to spell out on paper and ended him up in second. Practice makes perfect. Slade Waltman is a true test of that. He came in this year with fully extended supermans and nac variations. The four transfer spot was supposed to go to JJ Romans, but in the doubles comp a miscalculated back flip caused him to get checked out by the medics. Thomas Alves took his slot and finished in the four slot. The cannon lady was an awesome show that entailed a 120 feet and 50 mph out a cannon. I need not say more.
Well all is over so until next week.
Lurch started his 8th season with freestyle with this event and each year has yet to disappoint.
