IFMA Freestyle Motocross
February 25, 2006 Saturday - 7:30 PM
It was another packed house in East Rutherford, NJ as a near sold out crowd witnessed Jeff Banks bring the crowd to it’s feet. The show started out with a bang as the Legion Stunt Team from Philadelphia came out on the street bikes and layed down some serious rubber. The Legion Stunt team was killing it all night with leg over wheelies and a crazy move called the “chain saw” to end the show. The show kept a rolling with the BMX guys destroying the course. The setup with 2 quarter pipes and a fun box was all the local BMX boys needed to bring the crowd into a frenzy. Backflips and tail whips were the order of the night for the Max Velocity Stunt Team as the BMX boys had a great night.
The freestyle contest was nothing short of spectacular. Jeff Banks was on fire with 4 straight flip combos to end the show. It was Jeremy Lusk taking the win in the Freestyle Main Event. Big combos and a huge kiss of deaths were bringing this Jersey crowd on the edge. The setup fit the rider’s style and you could tell with the way everyone was riding. Every rider went out of their way to thank the crowd and the crowd returned the favor, making the most noise of any event this year. With the success of this event, New Jersey will be feeling the wrath of the freestyle boys again very soon. Thanks.
