Soarin’ through the skies in the mountains of Wilkes-Barre! Starting off the show with HUGE air and amazing tricks, Brian Logan set the bar so high that it would be quite the feat to keep him out of the FMX Finals. But following Logan, the rest of the riders took that bar and just shifted it higher. After the qualifying rounds, the final four were Greg Hartman, Jason Rowe, Brody Wilson & Garry Robertson.
After the first qualifying round Keith Wineland showed off his stuff, coming out with the Extreme Moto Trials, a true test of balance and agility. While pumping up the crowd, Keith had to work his bike and keep his perfect balance, working with his surroundings so that he kept his precision!
After the intermission, Jennifer Schneider started the second half with a bang as she shot out of the cannon at 49 MPH and flying 120 feet through the air before coming down in the net with the precision and grace that can only come from the Cannonlady!
In the Team Competition, the Brother’s Rowe owned the round with a solid 29, after dazzling the minds of our honorary judges and the crowd here in Wilkes-Barre! Way to keep it in the family!
In the FMX finals, Greg Hartman came out first hitting the ramp with style and class and busting out his huge bag of tricks along with a HUGE Cliffhanger and making it so that the rest of the finalists would have to pull out their A-Game just to win! Next out was Jason Rowe. Rowe came out with all pistons firing and had a solid run, busting out combinations and owning the ramps with his Rock Solids and KOD’s, his solid run was just able to knock Hartman out of the Toyota Hotseat!
Following Rowe’s fantastic run, Brody Wilson came out with his combinations flying and had his eye on that Hotseat from the get-go! Huge combinations, like his Stale Fish-Heel Clicker to a Saran-Wrap helped Wilson knock Rowe out of the Hotseat and get it for his own! Coming out after Wilson’s phenomenal run, Garry Robertson hit the ramps with nothing on his mind but taking that Hotseat away from Wilson… But to no avail… Despite his best efforts of showing the crowd some great tricks like his Superman Double grabs and Hart Attacks, he just couldn’t take over that Hotseat! In the end, “ Hollywood” Brody Wilson took the whole shabang and walked out Friday’s FMX Champion! Tons of FMX Action here in Wilkes-Barre, PA!!! Can’t wait until Sharpey and I start it up tomorrow night!!!
Keep it real,
Ox

Tonight was a full house here in Wilkes-Barre, PA! Without a seat to spare the crowd and the riders were all fired up. In the opening rounds it was Casey Higgins, Greg Hartman, Jason Rowe, and Brody Wilson making the cut. In the Xtreme-Moto Trials it was Keith Wineland showing his new skills on his Gas Gas trials machine. Keith has been training with friend and team rider Geoff Aaron on a natural terrain course for the last month and it showed that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming trials competition. The crowd was elated as he maneuvered his trials machine with sheer precision and balancing skills. In the Cannonlady’s portion of the show it was Jennifer Schneider looking lovely as can be. But her Cannon blast would shock the crowd and shake the whole town of Wilkes-Barre.
In the Big Trick Tourney the final two riders to make the cut was Greg Hartman and Jack Rowe. Jack is the younger brother of star rider Jason Rowe. Jack is the youngest rider competing on the IFMA tour, and to make the finals in the Big Trick Tourney in his first season in IFMA competition is simply unheard of. Jack came out first and threw a big Kiss of Death. Greg pounced back with a Holy Grab and it was fitting considering on of his main sponsors “Team Faith” was in the house. In the end the crowd would decide and it was Team Faith rider Greg Hartman who would take the win.
FMX Finals time baby! Casey Higgins came out first and had a solid run, he even threw a Helicopter. It was the first time the Sharpster had ever seen that trick from him. He would set the standard high right away with a score of 93.5. Next out was Greg “The Hitman” Hartman. He has his scope set and target was Casey Higgins. With a ladder (3grabs) in the Heart attack position, a Helicopter, and a big Cliffhanger he would score a 93.75 which would knock Casey out of the Toyota Hot Seat. Jason was out next and he was all amped up. He stuck his run but for the first time in a long time would miss a trick and it would cost him a chance at the win. Not enough to take out Greg. Last out was newly nicknamed Brody Wilson. The new name is “ Hollywood” why Hollywood? Well let’s just say he should be in the movies. He is a ladies man, and they go nuts when they see him. He dominated the course and would score a well deserved 94.0. That would be enough to take the Toyota win and take his 9 th win of the year!!
In the end the chanting back flip crowd would get just that, a back flip. Brody would come of the podium to flip his machine only to over rotate, almost sending him into the wall. But this kid does not give up that easy. He came around for a second and third run-up and landed it perfectly two more times! All I can say is watch out to the big dogs in freestyle. There is a kid that came out of nowhere and he is looking to make his name known in this sport. And I know he will do just that. Way to go Brodio!
Peace,
Sharpie and OX
